TradeWinds Resorts

Request: TradeWinds and their employees play a big role in supporting and donating to Academy Prep. Academy Prep is a private school for troubled children on the brink of adolescence. There is no fee to attend the school and the only requirement is living below the poverty level. Academy Prep affords children of poverty the same opportunities to flourish and compete that other children have in an exclusive private school.

TradeWinds want to raise their guest’s awareness of Academy Prep and encourage them to become supporters.

Response: I created the exhibit below to raise guest awareness and installed it in the Grand Palm Colonnade. The exhibit consists of utilizing Academy Prep’s logo (an oak tree) with their mission statement at the base of the tree and random photos of the children that are or have been enrolled in the school. The exhibit was then printed and applied to an acrylic backer.

Request: It was a concern of TradeWinds that guests are unaware of all the amenities offered amongst the two distinct beach resorts, five heated pools and 20 acres of property which makes up TradeWinds Resorts.

Response: TradeWinds ‘The Big Picture’ . . . I created a game for the kids that would generate foot traffic across the entire property and would require some parental supervision, making families aware of the endless options guests have at their disposal.  (An adult version of the game has been mentioned and is in the works for those who don’t have children.)

In order to raise awareness of the newly created game, I created a display wall with a nautical theme, featuring larger photos matching the images on the game piece.

Request: TradeWinds wanted to inform their guests of the importance of being environmentally friendly and the steps that TradeWinds is taking to do so.
